Four things I do. Each one explained in plain language.

Every plan starts with what you own today. Nothing is worth buying until we know what is missing.

01

Life insurance

Coverage your family owns, not the lender. It follows you when you renew, switch banks or sell the house. Worth comparing against the creditor life insurance attached to your mortgage.

How life insurance works
02

Critical illness

A lump sum paid to you on diagnosis of a covered condition. It pays the bills while you recover, so you do not drain savings or sell investments to get through treatment.

How critical illness works
03

RRSP & RESP

Long-term savings for retirement and for your children's education, built with segregated funds. We set the monthly amount, claim the government grants you qualify for, and review it each year.

How the savings plans work
04

Business owners

Insurance strategies that use corporate dollars: corporate-owned life insurance, key person coverage, and buy-sell funding. Structured so a policy can move money from the company to your family tax-efficiently, and reviewed alongside your accountant.

This month's focusOctober 2026

Critical illness: the policy that pays you while you are alive.

Most people insure their death and forget their recovery. This month I explain what critical illness insurance covers, what it does not, what it costs to skip, and who can pass on it.

2. We talk for 15 minutes

I look at your coverage and savings, explain what each piece does, and show you where the gaps are, if any.

3. You get a free plan

You get a free written financial plan, built with FriedmannAI. If something needs fixing, I compare insurers. If you are covered, I say so.

Why I do this

My parents lost their savings by trusting the wrong people. I became the advisor they never had.

I was born in Israel and came to Canada in 1989. In the early 1990s I watched my parents lose what they had saved. That shaped how I work: I explain everything, I put it in writing, and I tell you when you do not need what I sell.

Today I focus on life insurance, critical illness, and long-term savings for families and business owners across Ontario.

Ask Asaf

Not about insurance? Ask anyway. I answer every Wednesday.

When my family arrived in Canada, nobody showed us how things worked. I made a pledge to be that person for others. Jobs, clients, introductions, starting a business: if I can point you to the right person, I will.

The more specific you are, the more I can help. "I am looking for work" is hard. "Business development role in Toronto, AI sector, ten years in sales" is something I can act on.
